Awesome first post, Aditi! I want to elaborate on the section "Physician Awareness and Training" - this is so crucial. Many physician programs do not go into much if any depth into neurotechnologies. The curriculums are unfortunately a bit in the past (I do not have this knowledge first hand - rather from colleagues).

Looking forward to the next one.

Hello, Landan; I completely agree. The International Neuromodulation Society's podcast delved into this topic a little, where Professor Lawrence Poree from UCSF spoke about how neuromodulation covers the whole body, but in medical school, the curriculum is divided by organ systems. The nervous system engages all of those systems, so neuromodulation actually spans the entire scope of medicine. He said that most cardiologists he has spoken to are unaware that the treatment of angina includes spinal cord stimulation. But this is slowly changing. A textbook that didn't cover neuromodulation in 2017 now has an entire section on advanced techniques including neuromodulation!

Thanks for your support!
